Hello~
The name's Missnight and this blog is dedicated to all sorts of anime/manga/games/pairings that I absolutely love. I'm a very nice person, but I run on the good ol' treat others how you want to be treated which speaks for itself. Otherwise, I can be rather eccentric and will likely send you weird asks in the dead of the night (for me, EST in the US). I love making people laugh, and that's about it!

I was posting a lot of nice Ichihime fan art in the Ichihime tag. I sourced a few of them but not all. And I was going to keep posting, so you wouldn’t have to see just a bunch of stupid fucking rants, but some anon hater bitch wanted to send me anon mail and fucking…

You know what then fuck you ok? ;)

Lmao keep it classy, baby. <3

Let’s keep in mind that those were three counts of assault and not three particularly ~romantic~ moments.

No.

Does this scene in particular make your inner fangirl squee?

Eeeeeeeeeee! He’s threatening her with violence! If the translation is to be trusted, specifically rape! SO CUTE. I SHIP IT.

I don’t know if you’re truly being serious or otherwise.

If the situation wasn’t comedic, if Haru wasn’t a character who didn’t know how to interact properly with others, and if so many things weren’t the way they are in a series, no, this wouldn’t be cute. It’s not cute in general.

However, with Tonari no Kaibutsu-Kun, this is meant to be comedic (most of Haru’s actions are meant to be comedic, frankly). He’s meant to be seen as a Monster, hence the series title. He does do bad things, but most, actually almost all, of his actions have a good intent behind them. Shizuku sees that in him. I’m assuming you haven’t read the manga, but even so in episode 1, she’s blushing and looking rather awe-struck as Haru beats up the boys who were beating up another. She thanks him for coming to save her as well. She doesn’t particularly like Haru’s behavior, because he’s a ‘Monster’, but she goes along with it. She sees the good in him and that’s that. She doesn’t become his friend because she’s afraid he’ll hurt her. She doesn’t cower away from him. She HAS stood up to him, refused to do things with/for him, etc. She’s not a helpless girl. She’s smart and level-headed. She became friends with Haru because she wanted to. End of.

Anyway, was Shizuku traumatized by what he said? No. She took no offense to what he said, and she becomes friends with Haru. She falls in love with him and they become a couple later on.

Don’t like the humor in the series? Don’t like the dialogue? Don’t like it in general? That’s completely fine, however, don’t watch it, read it, or have anything to do with it. Because trying to make social justice posts in the tag is extremely silly. Keep doing it if you want, I don’t care. I’ve gone ahead and blocked you if you wish to continue. I’m fine with it~

But what irritated me the most was you, in your tags, telling people to stop making gifs of it. Um, people can gif whatever they wish if they have that ability, fyi. You have no right to tell people what they can and can’t do. Just because you find a character in a series offensive in a work of fiction doesn’t mean you can stop people from genuinely liking his, and the series. You’re, at this point, basically, shoving your view of Haru and how wrong and offensive he is down other people’s throats because, again, you’re offended and therefore everyone else should be, right? Or is it that anyone who finds him the least bit likeable is a wrong, twisted person? So, one last time, if you were offended that’s fine. I know there are people in this world who don’t find anything funny about the threat of rape or assault under any circumstances or through any medium. That’s fine, but don’t force your opinion onto other people. And, if you do, don’t be offended when someone calls you out on it.

Oh, and yes, I do ship it. Problem? Too bad.

Thank you and god bless.
